left arm is upraised uncovering a shield in the attitude of protection.
Her right hand bears the Olive Branch of Peace. These Rare
and Elusive quarters are made of 90% silver and were designed
by Hermon A. MacNeil. They circulated just before
and during the Great Depression and Stock Market Crash. Many
have been lost, worn out, and melted during the great silver surge
of 1980 when the price of Silver hit $50.00 per ounce! We have a small
hoard left from a collection which we purchased many years ago. |
