Now available are miscellaneous Blocks and pieces of High Density, High Quality, Pure Graphite. Each lot contains five (5) lbs. of Graphite. We have a large supply. Pieces shown are a small representation of our inventory! We have blocks, slabs, dowels, and more! Pieces are all of varying lengths and widths, and come in thickness' of 1/2, 3/4, & 1 inch.

Graphite has many varied uses:

• Great for Glass Artistry & Glass Bead Making
• Can be Milled, Drilled and turned in a lathe to a desired shape
• Making Brushes for Antique Electrical Motors and Magnetos
• Used as an Electrode material for producing Hydrogen from water, etc...
• Used as an Anode & Cathode in the Plating and Refining of Precious Metals
• Used in the EMD industry (Electro Mechanical Discharge)
• Used in Glass Factories and in the Glass Blowing Arts & Crafts Industry
• Used for Model Rockets (manufacturing of solid rocket fuel motors)
• Used in other various Science Applications

I have taken some of these chunks and, using a high speed drill bit, carved out a saucer shaped hole and used it for melting gold and silver scrap pieces. The graphite can take 5000 degree heat easily, as it does not, and cannot melt. This is the reason graphite is used in the manufacture of crucibles.

It is conductive, stable, and does not contaminate solutions of gold, silver, platinum, palladium, rhodium etc... Some of the grades in our lots include T-5,T-6,T-10, but we are unable to separate into specific grades, so each lot may contain a grade mixture.

Graphite can be a hard to find material when you need it. We cannot guarantee the size, shape or thickness of the pieces you will receive, but will try to accommodate you the best we can.
